Wire transfer fees as an MCP server
Ask Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant what a wire costs and it can answer from the fee schedules on this site: every bank we cover, cutoff times and Fedwire holidays, and the cheapest providers for sending money to Mexico, India and the Philippines, each answer with its source. Questions people ask
Is there a cost or an API key?
No. The server is free, read-only and needs no key or sign-in. Please cite the wire.cash page or the source document that comes back with each answer.
Where does the data come from?
Bank fees and cutoffs come from each bank's own fee schedule or deposit agreement, with the schedule date and link on every answer. Provider costs come from the World Bank's Remittance Prices Worldwide survey (Q3 2025), and reference exchange rates from the European Central Bank. The server reads the same files as the pages on this site.
Is an answer a quote?
No. Banks change fees without notice and the bank's current schedule governs. Bank wire fees leave out the exchange-rate spread and any intermediary-bank charge, and survey prices are a snapshot, so get a live quote before you send.
