Bank wire fees: what each column means

ColumnMeaning
bankShort id for the bank, the same as its page address on this site (/banks/<bank>/).
name, kindBank name, and whether it is a bank, credit union or brokerage bank.
domestic_out_usdFee to send a domestic wire, in dollars, at the cheapest channel the bank prices (usually online). Empty means the bank does not publish it.
domestic_in_usdFee to receive a domestic wire.
intl_out_usd_wire_usdFee to send an international wire in US dollars.
intl_out_fx_wire_usdFee to send an international wire the bank converts to foreign currency. The bank also earns on its exchange rate, which no fee schedule shows.
intl_in_usdFee to receive an international wire.
*_noteThe bank's own conditions on that fee: branch prices, waivers by account type, thresholds.
cutoff_domestic, cutoff_international, cutoff_noteSame-day sending deadline as the bank publishes it, Eastern time unless stated.
waivers, fx_noteAccounts that pay no wire fees, and what the bank says about its exchange rate.
schedule_effectiveThe date printed on the bank's fee schedule (some print only a month).
checkedThe day we last read the schedule.
source_title, source_url, other_sourcesThe document each figure comes from. Read it before relying on a number.

An empty cell is a figure the bank does not publish. We never fill one with an estimate. The business file uses the same idea with branch prices in their own columns; its foreign-currency wire column is text, because several banks price it with conditions.

Exchange rates

ecb-reference-rates-usd holds the European Central Bank's euro reference rates for 2026-10-23, crossed to dollars: units of each currency per US dollar, and dollars per unit. The ECB publishes rates against the euro only, so a dollar rate is the currency's euro rate divided by the dollar's euro rate. These are reference rates, not prices anyone will trade at. ECB reference rates are published for information purposes only. ECB reference rates.

Live API

GET /api/live?ids=ECB_USD,ECB_MXN,ECB_INR,ECB_PHP returns the newest ECB reading for each series from the database behind this site, with its date, the reading a week and a month earlier, a freshness flag (fresh, stale, dead) and the ECB citation. Series ids are ECB_ plus the currency code (29 currencies, quoted per euro). Add &history=60 for the last 60 readings. Responses are cached for 15 minutes and open to any origin.
